    Tom Yum Goong 2 (aka The Protector 2) 3D - Tony Jaa - 2013

An opening ceremony to officially kick off the production of Tom Yum Goong 2 has already begun last Wednesday with the cast & crew in attendance. To bring the most action packed fighting the studios has to offer for the much anticipated sequel in 3D, action director Panna Rittikrai has assembled a martial arts cast line-up to join Tony Jaa and Jeeja Yanin (aka Jija Yanin). These include Dan Chupong (Dynamite Warrior, Ong Bak 3), Kazu Tang (Raging Phoenix, BKO: Bangkok Knockout) and American martial artist Marrese Crump, who is set to appear in Pittikrai's Formless and RZA's The Man With The Iron Fists. Returning from the first installment is director/producer Prachya Pinkaew and Thai comedian Mum Jokmok (aka Petchtai Wongkamlao). No word yet on what the plot entails.

Tony Jaa is something else, I really enjoyed Ong Bak and TYG. But I didn't enjoy those ancient-times prequels, over-directed and too far removed for my taste.

Hopefully there will be something resembling a story this time and more attention paid to the movie.
The last one had a shitty story that was supposedly set in Australia but everyone spoke in broken English plus you couldn't find a white person in the whole movie. You can have the best fights in the world but if there is no story that engages you it's all for nothing.
I was fastforwarding the movie just to see the fights and the set ups to the fights were pathetic.
Like a bad video game. After defeating each opponent in the Temple sequence they simply disappeared. Fall to the ground and vanish.
And I won't even go into the idiotic final fight with those huge guys who he defeats with elephant bones.
God, what a disappointment of a movie.

so tony is back from his life as a monk....it was said he went to a temple after ong bak 3....and I have to say ong bak 3 was a psychotic movie and tony was really weird....hope he finds back to his ong bak form...

I like to see some of marrese crump....he is a cool mix of capoeira and filipino arts and some muay thai.....so cool cast...just hope tony is back to the realm of the normal people again.

Fantastic news! Hope the'll have a nice bugdet . For me Tony's best movie so far is Ong Bak. When i first saw it, it blew my mind... of course i meant the fights not the story ;) other 2 parts sucked balls so did TYG. Let's hope they step their game up with this one!
