Die Dialoge sind gut, denn erstmalig lege ich da auch richtig wort drauf. Nicht so wie damals, da habe ich nie drauf geachtet. Ich glaube, da habe ich nur auf meine Ausstrahlung gesetzt. Nach Shepherd will ich einen Film über Käfigkämpfe in Japan machen, der wird sowas wie "Wie ein wilder Stier" über das Käfigkämpfen.

if it is, then sign liddell, shamrock or ortiz, definatley liddell if they can, he is one of the most recognized faces now thanks to the explosion of the ufc in recent years (HUGE FAN!!!), if he had a part in it, even a tiny one, it would get promoted out the ass during ufc events and such, that would definatley help with theatrical release. He did a quick 5 min job of i remember correctly on the "Blade" tv series. Just a thought. That is of course if it really is about cage fighting. On a side note, "Pride Fighting" is insane also, lots of good fighters there.

TITO ORTIZ mentioned two years ago in an interview that he would love to be involved in a JCVD movie cause he loves the movie BLOODSPORT. it´s one of his most loved movies from his youth. that movie inspired him for doing the fighting sport. i would cast this guy, he is also very charismatic and experienced. he was already involved in a movie with JET LI. of course, if this movie happens. i am sure FEDOR will be also in the cast. it would be no surprise.

Aufgepasst, ich habe meinen eigenen Style. Kampfsport mache ich seit ich 11 bin, also habe ich 30 Jahre Erfahrung. Ich sehe niemanden als Rivalen. Ein Rivale ist jemand der mit Stars wie Ridley Scott oder James Cameron dreht, während ich einen Neuling hinter der Kamera stehen habe.

Es gab da ein Gerücht, dass sie in Rush Hour 3 dabei sein sollten...
Ach, das war nur ein Witz während eines Interviews. Ich sagte, "Wir haben Jackie, Chris.. und mich, das ist doch ein gutes Trio." Aber mal ehrlich, wenn ich eine Komödie machen würde, dann nicht sowas wie Rush Hour. Eher sowas wie Lethal Weapon, etwas das realistisch wirkt. So wie der Film mit Robert DeNiro und dem Kerl in Handschellen.

Oder etwas ganz, ganz dummes, wo man denken würde "Nein, JC macht sowas nicht!".

Was halten sie von Robert DeNiro?
Er schauspielt so gut, dass man es nicht bemerkt. Er ist einer von den wenigen der es so drauf hat. Und ich habe großen Respekt vor Johnny Depp. Wenn er spielt, hat er was von einer Frau und von einem Mann, wie ein Buddha. In Fluch der Karibik, wie er da betrunken rumtorkelt und sowas, wundervoll. Ich glaube das er auf dem Set besser ist als im Leben.

Sie haben sich ganz schön von Hollywood entfernt...
Wenn ich diese Leute auf dem roten Teppich sehe, ich mag sie alle, und sie posen vor der Kamera, drehen die Hüfte, damit sie nicht so dick aussehen.. das ist Mist. Bei der Eröffnung von Planet Hollywood war ich da und stellte mich zur Schau, grinste, zeigte Muskeln, aber das bin nicht ich. Ich bleibe lieber zuhause oder geh ins Fitness Studio.

Haben sie mal Ärger mit ihrem harten Image bekommen?
Ich war auf der ganzen Welt, und habe auch böse Jungs getroffen, die meine Filme mochten. Wenn ich herausgefordert werde, schaue ich ihnen in die Augen und dann wollen sie keinen Kampf mehr. Sie wissen, ich mag sie zu sehr. Das liegt mir, ich komme gut mit Menschen klar.

Wie mögen sie ihre Gegner am Set?
Stark, am besten stärker als ich. So kommt es am Ende besser zusammen, wie mit Dolph Lundgren in Universal Soldier. Seine Schläge im Film haben richtig weh getan. Man sieht, wie sein Fleisch meins trifft, in Zeitlupte ist das ein toller Effekt.

Was raten sie angehenden Schauspielern ?
Wenn du weißt, dass du Talent hast, dann wirst du mächtig. Wir alle haben Talent, du, ich, dein Nachbar. Aber du musst wissen das du es hast. Und wenn das so ist, dann kommen die guten Projekte zu dir wie die Bienen zum Honig.

this UK interview never happened....also there were news that JCVD said that in a UK talk show. this was also a lie.

well, maybe nofear can tell us a bit more about it, he is into MMA. i have the documentary The Smashing Machine dvd n my collection. very interesting film.

matt.....well, there are so much unrealtic things on JCVD in his movies, where´s the problem with this one as long the movie kicks ass? :)

In this film, the actor Clovis Cornillac looks like a little fly compared to the real champion Jerome Le Banner. you got me wrong. i totally agree with you on that as no one else because it hurted no one else so much than me when all this projets (which are my favourite ones) were cancelled at the end but you said TSM is a "rumour". kumite, B-2 and the monk was never a rumour.

actually it would be a place to share inside information, not alienate other members. Like I said when I leave again, I have to give someone my passwords so that they can provide all the members here with goodies. So whether his opponent is bigger or smaller, if its gonna be about grappling, I really dont think size of the opponent matters. I think that's an excellent idea. I think that DM and No Fear (and whoever else the Administrators might be) would know what choices to make, and it certainly wouldn't have to be based on number of posts.

Sorry I have to be secretive with some of this info, folks, but the other choice is to just not share it at all, and to just keep everyone guessing. As a few of you have mentioned, this has worked well on other sites, and there's no reason why it can't work here too. The reason I've been comfortable in sharing so much information with people on this site already, is because DM and the others do such a good job of keeping the trolls, the haters, and the rumor-starters away.

Don't be offended. It really is a matter of keeping rumors from flying all over the 'net, nothing more. And besides, you still get most of your latest info from this forum. That won't change, and as soon as something is solid, it will be available for all to know, just like before...

He did a quick 5 min job of i remember correctly on the "Blade" tv series. Just a thought. That is of course if it really is about cage fighting. I saw him on some tattoo show, tony hawk was in the parlour doing some radio show, and one of the guys asked chuck to punch him in the arm, so being the nice guy that chuck is, the guy stood up, braced himself and flexed his bicep, BOOM! chuck nails him, guy falls down on the floor in pain. Hilarity ensues at the expense of the poor guy writhing in pain. They asked him if he punched him as hard as he could, Chuck said no, so being the smart guys that they are, they said well do it again, this time on the opposite arm, and hit him as hard as you can, repeat steps 1 through 3, and voila, dudes on the floor again in even more pain than before, hilarity ensues once again. I wouldnt let him hit me with his weakest punch, never mind full out. Oh yeah, Smashing Machine!, wooot!

Butterbean is not really a MMA fighter, more of a boxer, though not a terribly good one. I don't want him in TSM, it would be a joke. I think this is supposed to be a serious drama, instead of a cheesy 80's style tournament flick, so guys like Butterbean would look out of place.

I do admire your enthusiasm. But I still don't think Bob Sapp is the best person to play a 'big' fighter. There are so many more MMA fighters out there that could easily play this part with a more realistic approach.

Too many named fighters could really destroy this movie. Especially if the fighters are playing themselves. There would be too many errors in this.

I'm starting to think TSM might not be about Mark Kerr at all. Going by the description you posted, it just doesn't fit. For one, Bas Rutten was not a young champion at the time. He was about Kerr's age and nearing his own retirement from professional fighting. Also, Kerr wasn't a has-been. He was regarded as arguably the best MMA fighter in the world going into the Pride Grand Prix tournament. Like Nofear said, though, it's all speculation right now. We should get some clarification soon.
